The last year’s iteration of Redmi Note series, the Redmi Note 8 Pro, sports gaming-centric SoC MediaTek Helio G90T instead of the popular Qualcomm Snapdragon. That does not mean Redmi Note 8 Pro is not developer-friendly. At least, the release of Orangefox TWRP has proved this.
Orangefox is a fork of TWRP, the world’s most famous custom Recovery for many Android phones. being a fork means that the codebase is ported from TWRP.
It has all the base features of TWRP but some advanced features are in place to make the fork even better.

About Custom Recovery
What is a custom recovery? It is an aftermarket Recovery image used to replace the stock recovery partition.
At early of its inception, ClockWorkMod was the most used one. Unfortunately, the project was discontinued by its developers.
Nowadays, TWRP becomes a standard. It is available for so many Android phones regardless of its series or manufacturers.
An Android Recovery environment offers a smaller system useful to install updates, reinstall the operating system, create backups, and so on. Commonly, the stock recovery has very limited features.
Meanwhile, a custom recover like TWRP offers more features, including the ability to flash third-party binaries and mods.
